What's all the fuss about Alicia Silverstone bird-feeding her kid?

Am I the only one who doesn't have a problem with the way Alicia Silverstone feeds her son Bear?

The media world is buzzing with outrage over how the vegan star of Clueless chews the kid's food before putting it in his mouth bird-style.

Some are suggesting that mama's approach is going to turn her kid into a pervert or a serial killer.

apparently as a baby I hated baby food... I would only eat things like salmon that my ma chewed up for me. #traditional #indigenous

Damn... there's a movie I've seen in the recent past where someone is injured or ill or out of it, and someone else, to take care of him, chews some food and puts it in his mouth, so all he has to do is swallow. Now I'm going to be tortured: what movie was it?
