White bricks indicate the presence of Roger Waters at B.C. Place in Vancouver

Roger Waters hits the stage at B.C. Place in 10 minutes, and there's an awful lot of empty seats.

Both ends of the stage have been partially built up with white "bricks" that will be added to signify self-alienation and the construction of emotional walls in a person's life—and the divisions countries represent. AC/DC this ain't.

Steve Newton is filing items of interest tonight from the Roger Waters concert at B.C. Place. Watch for his full review tomorrow morning.

An awful lot of empty seats, eh? ...You mean that people are finally getting tired of having this bloated rock "classic" milked and recycled ad-infinitum? Setting aside their early albums (PRE-Dark Side, thank you), I grew out of Pink Floyd around age 18; I wouldn't mind at all if the rest of the world caught up with that.

I was there. By the time it started, the place looked basically full except for some sections left unsold by the ends of the Wall and a few with sightlines ruined by towers.
So, sorry, Al. The rest of the world refuses to grow up with you.
If people haven't seen the show yet, they will come out. Despite your rather snooty appraisal of others' musical tastes, for some this is a bucket-list affair.
And who knows when Waters or any of us might kick that pail over.

A first for me to see The Wall, and it was quite an experience! Marvel at how the music of the late 60s and 70s has continued to stand the test of time. As well, Roger Waters' voice sounded as it did 40 years ago, and the amazing special effects made the show an awesome experience!

The only empty seats were two sections where sightlines were obstructed by towers, other than that it was a full house. The reason for so many empty seats 10 minutes before the show was supposed to start was because there were thousands still outside the venue at that time waiting to get in, and a ton of people in lines for merch and drinks/food. The start time was deleyed about 15 minutes. Awesome show; a true spectacle. Sound was much better than i was expecting at bc place as well.

Dpezz is correct about the empty seats, the sightlines from those seats were too obstructed.

Roger is in fantastic shape for his age. His voice was impeccable and the production was top-notch.
