Woman set on fire for not adding enough salt

The world is gripped with the sad story of the Delhi rape victim, who died in a Singapore hospital earlier this month.

But a story from the Indian state of Bihar is just as grisly.

According to a Gulf News report, a man named Mohammad Guddu Khan "set his young wife on fire merely because she forgot to add salt to a mutton dish she had cooked at home".

His wife, Nazarana Khatoon, is being treated in hospital with severe burn injuries.
