friends and / or lovers

i had a relationship over the past summer / early fall. we broke up, there were lots of good reasons why we couldn't be together. now we are friends, see each other fairly often as friends, and i find i've still got feelings. some of the reasons we couldn't be together have changed, but some remain. should i risk jeopardizing the friendship by telling this person how i feel? should i just be grateful and happy to have a good friend and leave it at that?

I would say tell them. If they don't feel the same then you can just carry on beings friends. If that person cares for you then it shouldn't affect the friendship at all. However, if they DO still have the same feelings and are willing to give it another shot then you two need to make sure that you are willing to really try this time around. Don't waste their time if you have no intentions of actually fixing past problems. There will always be issues no matter who you're with but some people are worth it. Are they worth it? Can you see yourself happy again?? Happiness in love is worth the risk. It probably isn't as bad as you think.

Yes, just tell the truth. You can't hide your real feelings.
Do the right thing.

The right thing is what makes you happy. So what are you deciding on?

If it didn't work out the last time what really has changed that would make it work now?
