It is the same exact thing for me at the moment! I think many in Vancouver do not fully understand how lucky we are to be from such a city. Instead of complaining all the time, people should take our city for what it is and embrace it. After travelling around the world, I can say there is no place quiet like Vancouver to come back to!

Having a positive attitude and being grateful for the simple and basic things in life, like fresh air, fresh water, organic food, a roof overhead, and a bed to sleep in, brings one closer to embracing the goodness in life.

I find often the people who are complaining are people terribly unhappy in their life and don't realize how really fortunate they are to be in Vancouver. Sometimes they won't know what they've got -- 'till it's gone.

Vancouver is a little piece of heaven in this universe.

Funnily enough, I have the same passion for Vancouver as the OP but I've never lived there. My home is a long, long way away but I visit as often as I can - and will be there in a few weeks catching up with a friend and having fun. Till then GS helps with the withdrawal just a little....

You guys are indeed lucky to live in such a beautiful city.
