Embarrassed About How I Met My Husband

I am extremely embarrassed about the way I met my husband to the point where I have a completely made up story when people ask how we met. In reality I was walking across the parking lot at UBC with a girlfriend and he was in a car with a few of his friends and they started to hoot and holler at us. I mean seriously like a pack of dogs in heat. We were so offended that we walked up to their car and gave them a piece of our minds about treating woman with respect. We were walking away and one of them got out of the car and kind of chased us down. He told us we should be flattered that we were getting this type of attention and tried to put his arm around me. I got so angry I kicked him in the groin.
Over the next few years at school we started to run into one another and still feeling sorry about kicking him in the groin I agreed to go on a date. It was more out of pity then anything else. One thing led to another and we started to date and after a few years we got married.
Its just how we met that's embarrassing.

a guy that purposely treated women like a an asshole, but in a cheeky way. One night, he asks this educated woman who was with her sister if he could have a 3some with the two sisters. The girl got really offended, and started shrieking with moral indignation. Yet, he went home with her. So...instead of worrying about being embarrassed, work out why some women like assholes.

Are you kidding? That's a fantastic story! Nothing to be embarrassed about. It will get some laughs, and that's not a bad thing. The point is, you wouldn't have met unless he'd embarrassed himself by acting like an ass.

I don't think it's embarrassing. It's a sweet story of forgiveness and, on his end, persistence :)

You didn't say if he still treated women with disrespect still.

I love that story! You and your friend called them on their behaviour, and you later gave him a second chance rather than judging him based on one interaction with him. it's all round ballsy behaviour (sorry, couldn't hep that one)

That is an awesome story. I can see where it is not maybe a classically romantic story but it has the virtue of freshness, candour, and novelty
