Loneliness!

Alright I'll admit it I don't live in vancouver I live in a town in the Fraser valley. I'm sitting here on the couch watching mind numbing television on a Friday night for the third weekend in a row!!! I've been single for over 1.5 years. I have few friends but they are all spread out and since I'm in my late twenties most of them have moved on and are in relationships. Truthfully I know I'm a decent human and I love the outdoors and being an adventurous I don't think I am depressed I'm just sad.... Sigh* life is so short I don't like wasting it!

I feel you...maybe see if there is a hiking group in your town? Do a google search or ask at an outdoor store if there is one. (And I am at home alone watching tv too...it's ok. Realizing now that it is ok, you do not need to go out every Friday - I am in my late 20s...)

I've been single for 5 yrs and still have nothing to do on Friday nights as my friends are all married or have moved away. I can meet up with people or find things to do during the day but Friday nights are empty. I agree, it sucks..

To all you beautiful lonely people out there!!! Yes it's ok to spend and be alone at times so don't feel bad it or put yourselves down!!! We all posses talents find yours and find out what you're passionate about!!! Then you will start pulling in people that have the same passions and will wanna spend time with you!!!! And "loneliness" you are so very right when you said life is to short to waste!!! So get up get out of your comfort zone and LIVE!!!!!!!

for 12 years(divorced), kids grown up. I also am alone with nothing to do Friday nights. I keep busy and even enjoy the days but I start to get a sick feeling of loneliness in my stomach when night rolls around.

I'm a single, unsupported mama who works until 9 pm every Friday night. I'm beat. Consider yourself a world of possibilities. All the best.

who is it a waste to?

the people who miss out on fucking you while you're young ? I've gone 12 years without. Whenever I put myself out there i get trampled. They think I'm a tramp? Just makes me wanna withdraw & numb myself to that need which is not really a need. You'll be left lonely anyway. Easier than transitioning between the illusion & the reality that you're alone. The people around you are there for their own selfish reasons. They're not there to be with you. Anyone can occupy that role. You're replaceable/disposable like everyone else.

So what's wrong with just going out and having fun and then meeting random people? I use to do that ALL the time in the 90's/2000s in DT Vancouver and was fine, doesn't mean i went out with them all, but we had a lot of fun. So posting online at home is going to help? sigh. You people either A) Need to go out and just talk to random people, or are you too shy? B) Stay home and enjoy it, it's downtime, if you don't like being at home, then WHY are you at home?!!

I left for years and came back 2 years ago. Met a new girl (26), been dating her for almost 2 years now and been hanging out with old and new friends and i'm 35... There's no excuse for this here. Seriously get out, because like u say life is too short.
