I Really Didn't Get

the recent film 'This is The End', a Point Grey production. I am to embarrassed to tell my friends this. They all seemed to think it was funny and talked all about it. I had been so excited to see it as I had previously enjoyed the work of all the actors in it. It scared me. I felt many things-including resentment that my time was being wasted. Am I just ineffably square or was it a cry for help? A comment on what has transpired in performance? Maybe I should try again. I hope those poor boys are going to be OK. Jeez.

You just aren't a funny person? stick to the books then if comedy isn't your thing.

If you can't get Danny McBride, I'm not sure there is any hope.

It's ok to like and not like or get and not get different things...my girlfriend can't stand Dumb and Dumber (which makes her wrong) but who cares.

you got the plot, right? stoners embark on the rapture. sci-fi comedy, commentary on everything that happens in pop culture, zombies and woohahah. only to find out who wants to live on a stupid planet where everything si dead or wants to eat you? only way to win is die not sinning, much more difficult during a rapture than you would think. looking back, that movie was clever.
I'm in agreement

I saw it and thought it was "meh". I mean, it had it's funny moments, and I chuckled a bit…but it was just "ok" and nothing more. I'm more into quirky subtle humour than the outrageous material that dominated that movie.

It was just a stupood stoner movie. Funny in parts, dumb in others. Don't worry about not fitting in with your friends - especially if fitting in is what it takes to be friends.
