There's an app you can download from Translink that reports such behaviour to the skycops. Don't be a victim of these women.

People here stare a lot, try to keep in mind that although someone may be looking at you they can be thinking about something else entirely. I've been guilty of this a few times. And as for the just plain rude people, they are doing you a favour by revealing what kind of person they are before you waste any time on them.

use this as an opportunity to develop a thicker skin. seriously who cares what she thinks? also not everyone desires skinny legs.

...was an uncouth cow. Unfortunately, as women (and I am one myself, so I know our species and our expected roles), our appearance is the #1 thing to be appraised. By both sexes. Women actually can be more vicious to other women than men are to women when it comes to looks; the old up-and-down assessment is part of our horrendous biological wiring since we're apparently all in competition with each other. Please don't take it personally. That chick probably had zero idea that she was doing what she was doing, and looks are all she cares about.

I will add that you also seem like a very sweet woman based on the way you talked about this. I would have taken this supposedly anonymous forum as an opportunity to vent, spew, rant, and curse, but you come across as a much, much higher-road person than me (and many others).

we used to say "take a picture, it lasts longer." It seemed to lift the tension from the moment if said in a joking way.

I proudly stride out my door every day wearing toe shoes, only because I care greatly what others think of me. The smiles don't hurt either.

Behaviour like that is rude and really is a form of visual bullying. Store up a few one-liners for the next time.

You're absolutely right about everything, except for the very last bit. :) We're all on the same boat, life really shouldn't be a competition so there /is/ no "higher-road". While most of the above comments are sound and I agree that you can use this to learn how to rise above the judgement of another...I know how much it hurts to feel like you did and I am sorry you are feeling badly.

Maybe she was just thinking how pretty you are.
