Four Dates.

We dated for a short time. It was amazing. Then you told me you weren't feeling it and that we shouldn't see each other anymore. Fair enough. Those were some of the best days of my life. I wish I met more nice girls in this city. Five years is a long time to be single.

Be glad she was at least up front and honest with you. Even among women that isn't the case the vast majority of the time. Some good did seem to come from it, carry that with you and move forward. If you did it once, you can certainly do it again.

Go get 'em tiger!

This could have been me writing this... From a lonely, long term single gal.
Wishing you luck!

5 years, try 43 years. I'm now near 45 and still never had a girlfriend.

This paragraph sums ever dating in Vancouver. It always ends with I'm not feeling it; it's not you, it's me; I'm not ready for a (more than sexual) relationship right now; I need space.

And they wonder why they're single? Easy answer...

Honest...

It sounds like you are taking the best of that experience and going on to the next. I appreciate that this woman was honest with you.

I had a very passionate short term romance with a man who did a massive freak out and we have never spoken since. (Mental health 'issues', but so good looking.) I was worried that I wouldn't feel like fire again. I may not.

Months later I am not seeing a man with whom I am having a brilliant time with physically (FIRE!), laughing a lot and getting out to explore a side of the city I never took the time to check out before.

The "moral of the story"... if you can take on these feelings and build instead of getting bitter (like a lot of posters here) you can keep going and click with someone else. It wont be the same. It may be a lot better.

Just keep going.
Someone will be feeling it with you.
