Not Ashamed to admire a heavy set woman

I have to admit- I saw a woman in Lighthouse PArk this past week - she was keeping fit- I thought hmmm .... interesting. I saw her again in Starbucks in West Van later in the week- she was beautiful. Albeit I am a professional man who works in the health profession I could imagine my colleagues shaming her very large figure in private. I admired the way she carried herself nad the way she dressed. It was most impressive to hear her speak to the person she was with- she sounded educated and articulate. I feel ashamed that I have judged overweight women - she highlighted my own insecurities without saying a word. Well done.

You sound so ignorant. Who are you to make any comments like this regarding anyone. You make it sound like she belongs behind glass, like she rolled over and fetched a stick for your ignorant ass. Well done you big moron.

not ashamed to admire and then post here, but too ashamed to possibly date her and have your colleagues know..

we often see such confessions and its great to be open minded like this. Wonder if the same would hold true for short guys. Will women overcome their insecurity and date short men ? didnt think so.

It blows my mind that intelligence is tied into body size. How? Seriously? How can a person's intelligence/wit/anything mind related be associated with how much they weigh?
I, unfortunately, am very well endowed and I know that I am seen as less intelligent, a bimbo because of my naturally large chest. I know there's little I can do to change that perception, still doesn't help me make sense of it.
Please, an honest inquiry. Why does body size = intelligence?

...probably 150 lbs. You know, heavy-set and very large. People in this city need to be slapped.

I was initially confused by the interpretation of your post by others... "You sound so ignorant... fetched a stick for your ignorant ass..." etc. So I went and re-read what you said.

And actually, you do come off as sounding more than a little 'between the lines' condescending. I didn't recognize it the first read through - but yeah, it's there.

I get the feeling it's not at all how you meant to come across.

If I came across as a wanker then my message my not have been clear- no she was not 150 lbs - In fact - i'd think she was well over 250 lbs- would I ask her out? Hell yes- I've been looking for her ever since.

It's called a very judgemental society we live in. North American society depicts that we should all a certain way: tall, think, muscular, attractive. Well, that is just how skin deep beauty is really. In all actuality, if we picked up North American ideals and ourselves and plunked them down in some states in Africa, it would be quite the contrary. Zimbabwe for example, loves big women. They are a sign of health and fertility. Unfortunately, North American cultures are opposite thanks to magazines and Hollywood.

It blows my mind that people are never satisfied with anything. This confession from my perspective was quite positive with a happy ending. He realized his mistake and learned a lesson..and the comments? Ignorant this, ignorant that...Come on! You guys all speak so highly like you never make mistakes or make judgements that prove to be false later...nothing ever satisfies people. You all have issues you need to work out before making any comments about other people.
