work secret

My supervisor says sexually inappropriate things to me at work and I think I like it and find it amusing and reply equally. Our sexual flirtations have gone nowhere. Is that ok?

Is that okay?

If you are uninvolved and he is uninvolved...then yes. Damned right it is okay. Workplaces need more of this.

in the company ink is for no-minds. I did the same thing once and it turned out very badly for me. Get your head out of your ass. Or get a new job. I can't actually believe you had to ask that.

Why assume the supervisor is a man and the OP is a woman?

I'm a guy and have been the recipient of plenty of flirtatious acts at work over the years! I have the most salacious relationship with my gorgeous female boss. She's a complete flirt and I love it!

You may be right... you probably are. And in 1972 it would be guaranteed. But now, anything goes.

Usually it might be ok, but definitely never with a supervisor. In fact, I say never poop in your own back yard. It's all cool - until someone gets their feelings hurt, then it's hell for everyone around you. And who do you think will end up getting fired???? Definitely not the supervisor.

Is it ok?

If it's not hurting or bothering anyone, and you're consenting adults, why not?

It's not very professional and might be a bad idea if it leads to harassment or to more, and then bad feelings because you still have to work together.

But then, leaving your house, you take your life into your hands. If you feel that the risk is negligible, do as you please.

Thanks, ya I suppose it was a stupid question in the first place. And yes we consummated this flirtation. He is a man and I am a woman. Sometimes things just can't be helped eh? Luckily neither of us are married. And I suppose we could both end up hating each other at work. But that's ok. No HR necessary.
