Slightly Broken-hearted

I never thought I'd find myself rather hurt by the fact that a beautiful soul I've just reconnected with over the past several months is heavily contemplating taking herself to some random country and return to her life of traveling/teaching after she's done with what she's doing here sometime towards the end of this month. We'd not spoken to each other for a very long time before we re-connected and our re-connection has been intense in a wonderful, "hey old friend"-mixed-with-"a little more than that" sense. I love the girl, I honestly do; she is well aware of it too. While I firmly support her pursuing her dreams or chasing the wind, I just don't want to say goodbye yet again and wait for many more years for to see her yet again. Her will is as stubborn as mine though. Damn this little rain cloud over my head sucks. I'll miss her very very much, God damn I know that much. :( I'm a guy.

You sure sound like a keeper. Hmmmm-m, I was once that girl. Keep in touch...and arrange for a visit while she's away? Meantime, you should be proud of yourself. A decent, rad man you are!!

If this is really how you feel, quit the posting on confessions for support. Tell her exactly how you feel that you want her and you want to be together now. Give her a fucking reason to stay. Commit ffs! if she feels at all the same then she won't leave. If she doesn't then you can mend your broken heart and find solace in the fact that the "one" is still out there.

can't you join her? I am also a traveller and find dating difficult, I run from guys who want a relationship 'cause I feel they're going to hold me back from my adventures. If I like a guy enough, I'd invite him to join.
