I have a severe case of social anxiety disorder.
So I partake in the company of Escorts.
That is my confession.

It's your money, but you won't start solving your anxiety issues if you always have to pay someone to befriend/be intimate with.
Good start

At least you are willing to challenge yourself, instead of avoiding all people all the time, which is what most people with SADs do. Plus escorts need to make a living too.

I don't have Social Anxiety. I'm a woman, kinda square, not really into kink. But I sure would like to make dating easier. You go, Honey Bunny. Whatever gets you through the night. And maybe you're more fun than you realize!
Local vs Import

Choose to support local economy by not riding import models!
CBT, instead?

As someone who's recovered from Social Anxiety Disorder, I'm rather surprised by the amount people encouraging you to continue with what you're doing. Seeing an escort isn't necessarily wrong in itself, but you've admitted that you do it because of your SAD, which to me, implies that you would rather find a partner on your own if it wasn't for your Social Anxiety. Are you, or have you been seeing someone who specializes in cognitive behavioural therapy?
A social anxiety CBT group helped me tremendously. Everyone has certain social situations that are more anxiety provoking for them than other social situations. In the group, you tackle your anxiety in small manageable steps as you gradually build up to more anxiety providing situations, but by then they are not as difficult, because you are more relaxed knowing that you just conquered a bunch of smaller situations. I find this method works much better than trying to tackle your biggest fears in one go. For me it would always backfire and make me feel even worse about myself.
I know it's hard, but try not to rely on avoidance coping, which it sounds like what you might be doing. In the long run it won't make you feel better or make your life easier.
Escorts need to make a living too?

Do you get a receipt when the transaction's over? Do they pay taxes? I have no sympathy.
It's a profession when it is a choice.

Yes, escorts pay taxes.
People who are under-aged are not prostitutes they are sexually exploited children, people who are forced into sex work are slaves by any definition, people who are "working" in survival mode because of addictions or mental health are also NOT IN THE SEX TRADE INDUSTRY BY CHOICE.
Then there are the people who choose to work in the Sex Trade Industry. Many are wonderful people, many are not. Many pay taxes, many do not.
The "World's Oldest Profession" would not exists without clients.
I knew a prostitute who had a client with a colostomy bag who's wife wouldn't touch him...
so that woman I knew would cuddle him, kiss him and get him off once a year as the wife allowed.
So maybe a little insight into the profession that you might not have known about.
Also CBT is not always "cock and ball torture" it also stands for "cognitive behavioral therapy"...
see a shooting start with the words..."The More You Know".
To the author... I appreciate your confession.
It took heart and balls.
