Honest?

For me, it was hitting rock bottom and not caring about anything. I let go of everything; attachments, relationships and security because I reached a place where I had nothing else to lose. This led to some legendary adventures.

What I learned was this; every moment is beautiful, especially the quiet moments. Every pain is a gift to transform your life but it takes a lot of heartbreak to see this and if you live your truth, adventure will find you.

Now go forth and be adventurous!

Different for everyone

Don't compare your life to someone else's. it really is like comparing an apple to a box of kittens. I agree with Figure Out. You have to first determine what makes you happy and then do it. It took me a long time to realize that while I wish I were living the life of a socialite, it's just not me. I'd love to be able to get out into society, socialize, climb that ladder but then I realized that I didn't care about anything those type of people care about. if you don't like to be alone, then find out what you like to do and find people to do it with. And the only way to do that is to try everything that sounds interesting to you, and even stuff that doesn`t sound interesting. Keep an open mind and don`t ever shun an idea because you think that people will judge you for it. Get out there and explore. Find fun. Make your fun. Good luck.

Stop caring about what others think

That's the first step, the others are made and taken by you. Create your own adventures and break the cookie cutter mould that all others are trying to fit into who came from TO etc. Good weed helped me and not giving a rats ass about what people think. You only live once, stay thirsty my friend,

You think all Vancouverites 'know how to live and love life'?

Here's a secret ... shhhhh, don't tell anyone ... it's all a facade. Everything's leased, financed up the whazoo, yoga pants, $6 lattes and $400 sunglasses. All just smoke and mirrors, and I doubt any of it leads to true happiness.

Okay, now you know.

the sunshine coast is a very nice place for a little adventure. visit the cute towns, hike, visit the beaches. You can do this alone and without a car, and who knows, maybe in your wander, your hostel, whatever, you will meet like-minded individuals.
