"Vancouver men"

Why do you like being treated like shit? You insist upon it! And the minute anyone shows a little love, a little genuine human concern you panic and feel trapped.

No 'we' dont.

Maybe the loser you're seeing does, but not me.

Thanks for 'confessing'.

I am not a fan of generalizing, but I can definitely relate to your frustration. Your rhetorical question does have an answer, however a pretty long one. Self-esteem, self-love and the whole shebang. If someone has lived their whole life thinking that they are not worth anything great it will take a lot of love and struggle and tears for them to believe that they are not worthless. Please don't give up.

Honestly, I don't know what the big mystery is. Some people are just selfish assholes, men and women. No one demographic has the monopoly.

I think the OP is being facetious. There have been plenty of posts with regards to Vancouver women, so it's kind of a 'back at you thing.' At least I hope.
Anyway I do not subscribe to the one fits all mentality. Look around, there are brilliant, lovely people everywhere and just because one or two or three don't like YOU doesn't mean they're (men or women) assholes, it just means they don't LIKE. YOU. Not the end of the world. With 7 billion peeps on the planet, I think we can all afford to remain hopeful.

It takes a lot of pluck to let someone love you carefully and gently. I am a sweetie by nature, but I have a very difficult time with it also. So, you know, maybe you do have to put in some blood, sweat and tears to get the final pay back. Play the game for awhile. And it is a game. It's all a game.

I think you suffer from selective memory.

Speak for yourself. I'm a man and nobody messes with me, if there is trouble on the street I step up too.

Helps being 6'6" though.

Nice try , go knit something.
