The Video Game Cheater

I'm a 20-something woman having, in simple terms, an affair with a man in his 40s. We've never slept together but the topic has come up and we've exchanged not-so-PG texts/photos. He claims to be in an open marriage, yet whines about his marriage problems and because of this I am beginning to realize how much of a scum bag this guy really is. I feel disgusting for letting things get as far as they did and I want to tell his wife, because I doubt she knows what her husband is up to. He's certainly not at home playing video games all day long.

And women -if a guy tells you he's in an open relationship, meet the wife/gf and get her to confirm it.

Kick him to the curb. He's not worth the breath. You should be asking yourself why you would waste your time with a jerk like this and why you would enter into something that has the potential to hurt another woman. I'm not sure why you feel you should tell his wife. You've already done enough, simply walk away and reflect on your own behaviour. Karma sucks & if this is the kind of decisions you make in your life, you're going to be in that wife's shoes sometime.

Get mad that he pretended to be in an open marriage and not being in one? Yes! Is it not okay to hate being lied to in your world? And who wants to stay with a cheating, lying married/divorced man? Next!

Clearly, the scumbag is him. He cheated on his wife; she didn't cheat on anyone as far as we know. She has made no promises and has no obligations toward anyone. (BTW, she didn't know he were cheating since he claimed to be in an open marriage, and she did the due diligence by getting more information BEFORE sleeping with him. Yes, there has been no actual sex yet.)

You should both check your moral compass before slut-shaming/blaming the woman whenever the man gets in trouble.

So you want to destroy his wife's life because you made stupid decisions. Try to show some class. You created this situation, deal with it. But don't create more needless suffering because of your dumb mistakes.
