Boyhood is overrated

Boyhood is overrated. Sure, it's a landmark achievement in how films are made and I respect that. It doesn't change the fact that the movie is filled with cheesy dialogue and is about 30 minutes too long.

All movies are overrated (with the exception of The Hobbit and The LOTR's trilogies). They're always labelled as a 'landmark achievement', or 'never before have you seen blah, blah, blah', or 'not to be missed'. Twelve years in the making, and twelve years to make something totally forgettable.

that the mom could go back to school and then was already a prof at a college and then at the end was going to take her master's. Where does that happen?
Arquette and Hawke were excellent, the amateurs not that interesting imho.
Thank you

I think I would have preferred "Puppyhood" and watch a golden retriever puppy grow from puppy to dog!
