I think I need to break up with my girlfriend of five years, but I am completely and utterly ball-less. Why is the right thing to do always so effing hard?

why is it so hard to do? because bonding/coupling is hard wired into us on so many levels: psychologically, physiologically, socially, etc...so even when a break is the right thing to do it doesn't mean it's easy....we yearn for 'togetherness'fundamentally, and on many levels.

The longer you wait with the feelings you feel, the more time you are wasting for the both of you.

Don't make things worse by procrastinating. You are wasting both her time and yours.

This close to Christmas? Should have taken care of this already. Seems kinda mean right now, but the alternative is you are stuck being fake happy for the holidays.

i understand this. and the longer you are together the harder it becomes as it is never the right time. you've shared too much. you are their support network, and they yours.

It would be a whole easier if their was a few single women around that you could branch out to but since it's Vancouver you may spend five years dating yourself.
Not much choice here.
why?
