I sing to my pets

I don't treat my dogs like children, even though they are small dogs. I don't dress them up. They don't get cakes on their birthday. I don't do Christmas stockings for them. But when The Lumineers song Ho Hey comes on, I always sing it to them. It's the only song I sing to them, but for some reason, the chorus reminds me of them, so I sing it.

...why that song, of all songs? Why?! It is downright AWFUL! Almost any other song is better than that mediocre, inane drivel!

This is a great way to replace humans with pets... just don't forget one simple fact -- pets are for humans, not visa versa.

They are both rescues and the chorus is "I belong with you and you belong with me. you're my sweethearts!" It's the only part of the song I know, but it's the only part that matters!
