I'd rather watch fox

Hockey Night in Canada: What the hell is going on with this show? I've tried to give it the benefit of the doubt but quite simply I can not bear to watch it anymore. Distracting, flashy lights... intermission floor level tactics commentary... all the while led by 4 hosts with zero chemistry and banter awkwardly trying to discuss the game on a set that seems more appropriate for Entertainment Tonight or the next CNN war coverage. Don't get me wrong I like Strombo. His radio show and tv gig are some of my favorites. But he is so uncomfortably out of place on Hockey Night and Canada that it makes me cringe to watch.

I agree with you. That George character is absolutely painful to watch. I do not turn the game on until it starts and during intermission I switch to another show until the game starts again.

Showing my age I long for the days of Dave Hodge, Irvine, Ward Cornell and the good old Hot Stove segments.

Also Don Cherry's rantings and that toady McLean numb my brain.

I completely agree. Hockey Night In Canada has gone down the tubes. I can't stand to watch it anymore. I miss the old guys.

Change isn't always good....

It would be nice if Strombo was removed from the show, he's killing it & not in a good way. I switch channels, too. Can't stand it, wrong person for the job, no synchronicity with other panel people. The show is a downer!

I like Strombo...but only when it comes to music. Not hockey (or sports for that matter)

Maclean was great..not sure why they thought they needed a change

It'll never work, but since the chem is shit anyway, I'd like to see a host who hates hockey, and points out corrupt subsidies during highlight reels, questions the legitimacy of hockey as Canada's sport over Lacrosse during shootouts, and responds to Hab playoff speculations by begging parents to find less violent diversions for their kids.
