As much as I try to support my friend's self-employment and value their product, I often find the service terrible and it affects the way that I view them as a person.

Then tell them that, in as constructive a way as you can. If you just sit back and judge them, you're the one in the wrong. FYI, running a business is not an easy thing.

or be supportive, just cause you think it sucks, doesn't mean it sucks, it might just be a different taste/viewpoint. you can't see in five years from now.
