Reminds me of my grandparents too. They all died of cancer.

Me too! I never knew my grandpa very well before he passed away and he was an amazing man. Kind of reminds me of the little time I got to spend with him.

@wierd -- like the OP doesn't know that smoking causes cancer. Why people feel the need to be all pious about something that doesn't affect them (in this case, the OP's fond memory) is beyond me.

I don't think it's 'weird'. I used to think the same thing as a child b/c that meant my dad was home from work. I don't actually like it blown in my face, but just a whiff or remnants of it is, is enough.

And i use to smoke cigarettes for 8 years. How can anyone enjoy the smell? Even if it reminds you of someone... Crazy.

I see few comments above from people plugged into being pc whether they are conscious of it or not. You can't take these people's opinions seriously because they don't come from the heart. They are people too preoccupied with wanting to say pc things like politicians. Drinking is a vice but you don't see these same people picketing because it is not pc thing to do.

I for one don"t like smoking even when it was thing to do for cool people. But why be hater to people who do want to now?
