Baby on Board

It sure was a good idea of you to put that sign in your car. Now that I know you may have a child in your vehicle, I will actually start driving carefully and obeying traffic laws and try not to hit you. That sign may have saved your child's life. NOT

That's not the purpose of those signs. I don't expect people to do research before posting off-the-top-of-their-head rants, but in this case...

"Baby on board " isn't a plea to take care, it's a warning:

"This driver may be underslept, distracted, out of patience, and have someone screaming and throwing things at their head. Expect erratic behavior, and if you cross them, they may attempt to beat you senseless with a folding stroller."

Pretty sure

The purpose of them is to notify the paramedics that there is a child in the vehicle if they were to be involved in a crash.

Anybody with a BoB sign should be charged triple the fine for any and all driving infractions... think of the children.

Wow, do you hate kids or something? Or just those that raise them?

What the F is wrong with urging nearby drivers to take extra care? There sure as hell are enough idiot moves on the road, nothing wrong with reminding people that lives could be endangered by the kind of impatient, sloppy, selfish driving we see every day. Babies are much more easily hurt by even moderate car impacts.

You are exposing your bitterness and lack of basic decency with your comment.

wow, someone sounds like a real hate menace to society. I do find generational canadians to be some of the most hateful and angry people in the world but wow, to be angry about babies in cars is a new low.

Oh.....

you have a baby-on-board?????? Oh OK, when I crash i'll make sure to avoid YOUR car and hit the car without the baby!

I completely agree with the OP.

Baby on Board something something Burt Ward.... this thing writes itself

Kidding aside, yeah I don't think the signs really make a big difference. Bad drivers will be too busy/distracted to notice unfortunately.

Actually speaking on behalf of people that have used a 'baby on board' sign, IT DOES WORK!! Until your driving through the snowy Coquihalla Hwy in a little Toyota Matrix and a huge semi comes roaring up behind you to pass in hazardous conditions...then they see the sign and back off, you tend to appreciate that power of that wee sign. It's informing people why you aren't driving like an erratic idiot, because you have the most precious package in the world on-board. Yes, it doesn't prevent every situation or accident, but in this case I am so thankful that those drivers in the semi's were graciously respectful!! We all made it to Christmas safe <3
