It does get better.

I had been single for three years, after coming out of a seven year relationship. I closed doors, turned into a depressing self loathing person. Almost to the point where I became afraid to go outside. I started seeing a counselor, started running again, eating right, playing sports, partying and doing experiencing the great outdoors. I haven't been this happy in years. I don't like to boast. But to those who feel down in life. Your attitude is everything and yes it does get better. I'm living proof.

Well done. It's what you make it, and you've made it great.

Don't ever lose that, even if you fall off once in a while.

I've been single for year and a half after getting out of a long-term relationship, and I feel like I'm at one of my lower points in life. I'm not too happy with my job, don't have a strong support network of friends, and just kind of feel directionless and without purpose. I can only hope I get to the point you are at right now. Thank you for your encouraging words!
