A confession is something that you did wrong, that you wouldn't want other people to find out about. This platform should be like a confessional booth. Sorry to hear about those situations O.P. You are wrong. A confession need not involve sin; a confessor is someone to whom you can declare your thoughts without judgment, knowing that you will be forgiven, at least in the religious sense. I do confess that OP sounds like a stupid asshole.

: the act of telling people something that makes you embarrassed, ashamed, etc.
: the act of telling your sins to God or to a priest"

Most people using this forum could benefit from using a dictionary; appalling spelling and grammar abounds. Also, I agree with the OP; rants and whines are not confessions.

Dictionaries cannot tell you what words mean if you don't already know. Think about it. Every word is either defined in terms of other words in the dictionary, or it uses words that aren't in the dictionary. In no wise does a dictionary enable someone to use language properly if he doesn't know already.
