Amateur drivers, simple as that. Back in the day in Vancity you could race around and get to many places in a heartbeat since there was traffic, but not like the bottlenecks we have now. And i own a nice sports car, anyone that tail gates me now i slow down because i could always use a new bumper and a nice lawsuit since i hurt my neck :)

I have slowed down when being tailgated too I hate when someone tailgates at a high rate of speed. Just don't pull the slowdown in the left lane move the F over to the right these fast drivers will always want to go faster. Move over and let them go by anti road rage!!

Well done OP, just let off the gas and fuck 'em. Don't slam on the brakes or anything drastic...just ease off the speed. Out here in the Fraser Valley almost every time I get tailed (mostly in a single lane situation) it's some dude in a pick-up...they just love wasting fuel and driving all aggressive...check out my black diesel smoke!! And see me at the next light! They buy their trucks because of the "tough" marketing image and act like the wannabee hard dudes they think they are. I have a "power wagon" oooh look at me...vrooooom!

Self-driving cars are coming, and every one of them will be a pace car, sticking strictly to the speed limit and safe separation from the car in front. And that'll be the end of aggressive driving in town, forever.
