Seagull

Both of my parents have died within three years of one another, pre-deceased by two aunts, an uncle, and several others within a span of a rather short time. I am young, late 20s. While the loss of both of them is sad, the most overwhelming feeling I'm experiencing isn't the deaths themselves, but the sense of complete independence and the fact that I now must run my own ship and make my own life for myself. So, I've taken the first steps! I boarded an airplane, flew to another continent with my education, wild wishes, eccentricity, and a few meagre bucks in hand, and I'm following every last dream I have for myself alongside starting afresh. I've learned one thing, I don't want even one single regret before I one day kick the bucket. Whether I return home one day or not or find new home here on another fringe of the Earth is my business. I now am a seagull in the wind.

While I give my condolences to you, there surely must be something amazing about being a freebird. Good luck and enjoy the adventures ahead of you.

most seagulls aren't migratory. however, they're all opportunistic scavengers with harsh squawking, sh!tting all over everyone.

So awesome! You go and you fly wherever you can. This is the stuff dreams are made of.
