Unbelievable - girl demands seat because heels

I'd like to punch the girl who just made a guy get up out of his seat on the bus because she was wearing high heels. DON'T WEAR HIGH HEELS ON THE BUS IF YOU'RE NOT PREPARED TO STAND!!! She actually demanded that he stand up - poor guy obviously felt like he didn't have a choice. I would've told her to go do unspeakable things to herself. I'm totally incensed! And I'm a girl too - so guys, if some twat does this to you, stand your ground (or rather, sit on it and don't give up your seat to someone who demands it like that).

If she was wearing a low cut top, too, then he could look down it...so maybe he was one step ahead of you?

That's ridiculous. As a woman, I would never expect a person to give up their seat to me because I happen to be in heels. BUT I will say this, a few times men have offered their seats to me because I was in heels which warmed my heart. It's a nice gesture for sure but never to be expected. Shame on her.

uuuuh...that is just ridiculous. I wouldn't have thought of anything perfect to say at the time, but this would have been great.
"Oh sorry, I know...let's trade shoes rather than positions, and I've farted like 12 times since I sat here...take my comfy runners until your stop and I'll just slide my size 11s into your heels for now...sound okay?"

I don't give my seat up to the disabled unless they give me a release form from the ministry confirming that they're designated a person with disabilities.

This place is for confessions, not angry rants. By the way why are you so angry? Why do you assume she was ok and didn't need the sit? I'm not saying she necessarily did, but you're not inside her body, so how do you how she felt. May be she was hurt. What sounded as a demand to you may be her way of asking. So before you judge people so quickly, try to walk a mile in their shoes.

Woman with crippling shoes always had the option to take off her shoes or not wear stupid shoes.

I hate high heels!

I don't understand why people wear them. It is SO annoying to have to hear that stupid clopping on the floor whenever someone with heels is walking near me. I would have laughed in that girl's face!

Lol chick with heels on a bus..

Food for thought

It seems to me that this is a situation where the OP is angry at him/herself. A calm reply to the woman like, "No, I can't give up this seat today. I really need to sit. Perhaps you could ask someone else?" would have worked fine. If the "heel" persisted, all you would need to say is, "I don't care to speak with you, and I wish to travel without further harassment. Please stop addressing me."

Remember, you are in a public place filled with cameras. Smile. Be calm. Tell her to go fuck herself without using the word fuck.
