Could be an ingrown hair that is growing inwards rather than out. If it is that, you will need surgery to get in removed. Young men who sit (eg in school) are prone to them. Go see a doc.

Nah, it's not a bug bite. It's been there for months, but it's only just come to fruition. It's like when you have a clogged pore on your face and it's on the verge of becoming a pimple, but it never does so you think it'll just go away, until one day it just suddenly becomes this hideous beast on your face…only it's on my butt. But you know that saying..."things sometimes get worse before they get better".

That's an awfully long time. I think maybe you need to investigate further. Time to go to the doctor. A zit would not last that long.

That "zit" is likely what's known as a boil.
If you're hesitant to go to a doctor, reach round there and give is repeated deep tissue squeezes until it "pops".
Sterilize and repeat.
