Funny thing about spousal consent: it makes these things much simpler. Otherwise, you might end up like those Ashley Madison users...
Trying to not obsess about something is futile. It's as if someone is telling you to not think about sex, but every second of your waking hours. Maybe in your dreams, too.
It may eventually burn itself out, but "eventually" can be months, or longer. Hope you're good with that.
