antidepressants

I think I've finally come to terms with getting help for my depression/anxiety…whether that be taking a low dose of medication, or getting counselling. I have gotten a pretty good handle on it in the past, through helpful books and training my brain to be more positive and present…but lately, I just feel like I can't. I don't know what I'm going to do exactly, but I know I can't stand to feel like this anymore.

I take antidepressants

and they have helped me. They won't turn you into a happy person, but they will take the edge of your misery and let you function at a certain level... at least that's my experience. Just keep in mind it will take a couple weeks to kick in, and you might feel worse before it gets better.... good luck.

Just exercise. Really, it's that simple. The drug factories (doctors) won't tell you that.

I've suffered from depression for many years. everyone has a different method of treatment, you need to find what works best for you. For me, its a combination of medication, exercise and counselling. It took me a long time to find out the right combination of medications that worked best for me. Find a doctor that will listen to you and care about your health. Good luck, its a hard journey and one that needs to be managed every day.

My best

Has come from embracing the fact that my body needs exercise, sunshine, nature, supplements and less alcohol. Meds made me feel unstable, out of control and impulsive. Keep in mind, everyone has a different experience with meds, and don't be afraid if they aren't the solution you hope for. I have moved on, and my doctor suggested nature & exercise, believe it or not. I resisted this advice from others for 20 years, but they were all right. btw, the supplements I use are Omega 3 liquid, Magnesium, Vit D and 5-HTP. Good luck to you in whatever you decide. You're making a positive step forward.
