Bad Service

The toilet seat on my toilet broke so I went to the local plumbing supply store for a new seat. First they asked me what make and model I had for my toilet. I mean its a toilet. I bet if I was a man he wouldn't ask me that question. Then a few Plumbers from the same company came through the door and the Clerk completely ignored me. He later told me the Contractor had an order for $20,000 of toilets and sinks and does a lot of business with him. But I was in line first and I was so mad I screamed at him about customer service and stormed out of the store. Customer service in Vancouver is shit nowadays.

There is no excuse for ignoring you, but how do you expect him to provide a seat that fits your toilet if he doesn't even know which model it is? There are lots of different ones. Maybe bring in the broken one, and leave the attitude at home.

You are stupid

Basically you asked for help without any sort of information to the clerk. There is no way to proceed from that point. What do you expect him to do? Go to your house and check the model for the toilet yourself?

It's like going to a comouter repair guy and saying i don't know the model. "I mean its a toilet. I bet if I was a man he wouldn't ask me that question." Tells me a)you would have give the clerk a really pissy bad attitude b) this confirms that you are stupid. Just because he is there to "help" you doesn't mean he is your servant. He may have not given you 5star hotel customer service but I can tell that you were being a horrible customer and a horrible person.

Customer:
- Hi, I need a new thingy for my whatsit, the old one broke.

Clerk:
- We no longer sell steam catapults for aircraft carriers, ma'am, but I can order you an arrestor cable, to arrive by Friday. They're half a buck* a piece, so payment in advance is required. Oh...wait, you need a toilet seat?...

* half a buck: $500,000.00

I think he was obliquely telling you that no one cares about walk-in customers near the high end of a multiyear real estate housing bubble. Individual consumers are not going to keep the doors open; only contractors rate his attention, probably at the direction of the shop owner.

Yup. There's Some Lousy Customer Service in Vancouver

I was looking througha magazine in my doctor's office when I saw this cosmetic that I wanted to buy. I went next door to Shoppers Drug Mart and asked the chick working in the makeup section for Lancome's gold eye liner. Bitch looked at me and said "That's $37.00, ya know." I told that yes, I did know that and where is it already? So I looked around a bit, while she went back to the desk to talk on the phone. It was no business call, she was making her plans for the weekend. I brought the product up to the till and the entire time, she blabbed on the phone. I happened to have several fifty dollar bills as well as many twenties. I made a point of showing that snarky bitch the contents of my wallet. At no point did she get her ugly face off the phone, nor did she so much as grunt at me. To this day I don't know why I didn't complain to her manager. If I ever see that bitch again, I will remind her.
