Earthquake please!

I work in a Vancouver eatery, we have free internet and seats about 20. I've noticed in the last 2 weeks or so some of the patrons have been coughing/hacking up a lung. Well yesterday I woke up with a pretty severe fever and today I am undeniably sick! Thanks a lot you ignorant, selfish ASSHOLES, thanks for sharing your disgusting germs with otherwise healthy staff and other patrons. Next time you are sick, STAY AT HOME and keep your filthy infections to yourself! Bunch of bird brained idiots!

I can only assume that you're staying home until you are symptom free.

For starters you have no idea if it was them that gave you your cold. Could have been anyone else.

Secondly, its a cold for christs sake. Spoiled much? Ugh, first world problems. The only time a colorfully worded judgmental rant like that is warranted was if they we're literally stabbing you in the eye with an HIV infected needle.

Thirdly, they probably have priorities in their life that would make staying at home for the duration of a simple cold unfeasible.

I hope the epicenter of said earthquake is right under your eatery.

Solution? Never go out in public.
Otherwise, shut the hell up and get a job in an eatery where there's a medical screening before you can get a seat.
Blaming others for catching a cold? Hahaha, you should blame your immune system, as it's clear to all of us that it ain't up to the task. As if you've never UNKNOWINGLY passed on a virus/bug to another human being in your lifetime. Jeez, we're all saddened by your illness but puh-lease, grow up a bit.

And guess what - people who work in food service who are exposed to germs and then get sick usually *can't* stay home, because they'll be fired. I cancelled a meeting two days ago because I was sick and I was ready to be berated but my client thanked me effusively because she couldn't afford to get sick. Put up a sign in the shop. Sometimes people just need to think about their actions and then they do the right thing.

Did you know that colds (and the flu, and other things too!) are contagious even when no symptoms are visible? So your solution, in order to remain absolutely healthy at all times, should be to quarantine yourself. Never leave your home. Good luck with that! And good luck developing some compassion, you charming customer service person! I look forward to being judged by you in the future.

You need to shut the hell up. There are people who have compromised immune systems through no fault of their own. Cancer, for example. I need to take the bus to doctor appointments, ct scans, bloodwork, etc and there are so many sickos on the damn things that I cringe whenever someone hacks up a lung and doesn't even bother to cough/sneeze/whatever . For myself and others out there, at least don't just cough into midair, cuz the day will come when I'm sick of being sick and having to be around others with no fucking manners. I can pretty much see in my mind's eye, exactly what will go down. It's called self defense. Oh, I almost forgot. This is Canada and we don't have the right to defend ourselves. Definitely time to vote "None Of The Above" on the 19th,
