Government Job B.S.

At work they put up an advertisement for a position internally. The person must be a Registered Professional Engineer or Architect with 20 years experience in urban land design at the government level. There is one person in the organization who has these credentials. This job was written for him by his Director who will be on the hiring committee. Why don't they just hand him the job? Also I can't say anything or else I will be black balled. I think its absolute bullshit that human resource departments are trying to say these job advertisements are transparent and fair.

We know they are neither. I have applied for countless auxiliary jobs that I am way overqualified for, and have never been interviewed. Google 'Adam Finlayson Western youtube' if you want to see what a typical city staff hire looks like.

It was a contract position at the Ministry of the Environment. When my position came up as a full time - they can never fire you gig, obviously I wanted the job. I planned to apply for it until my boss came up to me one day and asked me if they hired some ass kissing, suck up chick from another department, would I stay on to train her? Like hell... I never went back. I laughed when I heard the government closed the place (it was a lab). I realized then, they have to find every government employee who was now out of work, another job. That pretty much woke me up and I realized it doesn't matter how good you are at your job, it's how much lying and ass kissing you do. I never let myself love my work again.
