Single

A lot of people can't figure out for the life of them how I can be both single and happy. I've never married, I don't have children, I neither date or have a sex life by choice. You wouldn't find be being weekend party animal because I'm an introverted bookworm. I've some how sort of poured myself into my career and travels and, with time, have gotten so used to doing things independently that love just isn't part of the picture. I'm surrounded by good friends and thus don't feel lonely nor empty for that matter. My life isn't for everyone, but neither are most people's lives for me. My question back is how can I be single and unhappy? Here's the thing, if love happens, it does... if not, it doesn't. I suppose I'm just in no rush.

Just wondering how old you are? I could have written the same confession... but as i quickly approach 50, this independent/love being alone thing is losing its shine! Careful what you wish for.

Obviously you have your life together and you seem truly happy...for that I salute you...but why the dialogue (Confessions)? Keep up the good work!

you are surrounded by good friends. Things aren't as good without that in the picture as is the experience of some others.

I have been there but found the novelty of travel/work and no one to share it with became an issue. Love can show up at anytime. Stay open to whatever life brings. It may surprise you. Love your positive energy.
