I Don't Get It

I keep reading confessions from men and women talking about how hard it is to date in this city. I mean I have no trouble meeting and dating women in this city. I am an average looking guy and I will say that I do go to the gym 3 to 5 days a week so I am built but this is something most men can do. Its no fun waking up at 4:45 to go to the gym and then work but its just something I dedicate myself to. I am not saying I am attracting super models or anything like that but I attract cute and nice women. I don't have a fancy job but I am a hard worker. Most women comment to me that men don't approach them. And I ll admit it sucks to be shot down but that just happens. I think it goes both ways. I think men here need to be more assertive and outgoing and women here need to be more approachable and not so dismissive to guys based on their occupation or amount of money they have.

Apostrophe NOW!

Maybe they are insanely attracted to your edgy use of apostrophes or lack of them.

Might be time to pump a few books a thousand times instead.

It's Fun Da Mental.

Approaching women is considered sexual harassment by enough women that it's just not worth it in Vancouver. Like, I'm not entering into whether this sort of worldview is neurotic, just that it's out there. So, as a gentleman of sorts, if I am given the choice between triggering someone's neuroses and just leaving her alone, I choose to leave her alone. While it's not all of my female acquaintances who've expressed their views about "unwanted male attention", etc. it is enough that I am well aware that there's a sizable minority who view any "unwanted attention" as a form of harassment---basically, you're supposed to know in advance whether or not someone wants to talk to you, without talking to her. I'm also pretty aware that although this is a decent explanation for the situation, presenting it this way is met with total lack of insight. So, neurotic people who lack insight into their condition, I think standup comedians used to be allowed to tell jokes about this...

I prefer them to be upfront

about caring about status and money, because it lets me know right away they're not for me. You can usually tell just by observing them, though.

Like Great said, it's just best to leave them alone. It's too much trouble with the women of Vancouver. They will complain no matter what. Approach or don't approach. I'm already taken, but even if i wasn't, i would still not approach as it's just not worth it nowadays. Good luck ladies, you really need to change your attitude as so many guys are saying the same thing....
