At a loss

I have a wonderful wife, a decent job, a nice house, and vacation overseas every couple years. There is nothing wrong with my life, but nevertheless I can't stop drinking. It's taken over my whole life and I don't know what to do. I've tried everything, and I'm at the end of my rope. My wife deserves so much better.

Admitting you have a problem truly is the first step. Contact Al-Anon and have them guide you to the right treatment options.

An intensive detox centre may be your next step. Otherwise your wife and family will be attending your funeral very soon. Either because your body has given out or you have booze fuelled accident.
My sons and I buried my ex very early because he wouldn't quit with the booze.
