OK, now when I see a girl with the ripped knees, I automatically assume that she can't think for herself. If you're going to appropriate Korean fashion trends, why not pull out the old jean shorts over stockings one? - That was hot.

No offense mate, but you sound to me like you're starting to think you're beginning to lose it with young women. Your hostility to fashion being merely a pretext for you to express your own inner doubts.
I love women. Of all ages. I find this philosophy helps me deal with fashion trends. Anyway, young chicks change fashion every spring. No telling what they'll be doing in May - get back to me in September haha.
Ahem

We're not appropriating Korean fashion trends. We're wearing ripped jeans because we don't GAF. I do a lot of things that don't need male approval that it's "hot" or not. If you want to see a female dressed up to what you deem "hot", go to Toys R Us and get yourself a little doll that you can dress up.
you wear the shorts then

If you find jean shorts over stockings (this word? really? eww) so hot then you wear them. Newsflash: people do not exist for your amusement.

It isn't 2000
it's time to grow up and move ahead 16 years....(if you have any fashion sense)
shorts over anything is like socks and sandals.
I was wearing holey jeans in the early 90s

It isn't appropriating anything. It just happens when you wear your jeans out at the knee and can't afford to replace them.
