Used to live in Toronto in The Beach (awesome hood) and amongst my friends, sock in sandals was de rigueur! Ah yes, many a campfire or bbq we've gathered 'round, those of us of the Socken Clan.
I don't give a toss what other people say about it. It just became the mass's lemming way of fashion shaming other people. I still wear socks'nsandies. Not all the time, but it'll never leave me : )
