Is it only me?

I feel like i am being pulled in every direction. I can't finish any tasks or projects. I just would like to be alone with my partner and watch the world go by. I really don't want anyone to expect anything from me. Work is like a train wreck and I don't even want to think about it let alone do it. My health is bad and no one has any interest in really knowing how I am doing at the office. they say "hey, hows it going" when they make eye contact, which they try not to do. I say "yeah, good" As i know they really couldn't careless. I know this sounds woo is me but i just wish i could meet people i could connect with. I don't feel like i belong anywhere and its just awful everyday! I do have a lot to offer but i just feel so alone in the world.

If your health is bad, there are two broad causes, environmental and genetic. So, to eliminate environmental concerns, start with what is most important: food. Garbage in, garbage out! Do you get 100% of all of the essential vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, protein, etc? And don't underestimate the importance of essential fatty acids. They're involved in every single cell in the body, and a deficiency in them will cause the body to start making do with the compounds that it can synthesize, which are stopgaps our body can make, to deal with famine.

The IOM suggests somewhere around 5-10% of calories as linoleic acid, 0.6-1.2% of calores as alpha-linolenic acid. So, on a 2000 calorie a day diet, that is about 100 calories of LA, or about 12.5 grams. Conventional wisdom is "everyone in north america gets enough LA," just like conventional wisdom is "everyone gets enough iron", etc. etc. I've had many female acquaintances persist with poor health for years, their MSP-docs doing nothing, then they go to a proper physician who does testing for iron, and, well, they're anemic. Good luck getting MSP to pay for EFA testing, if the labs here even do it. So there's one nutrient. If you eat a low fat diet, don't use a lot of salad oil, it's entirely possible that you don't get enough LA. The fad du jour is focusing on ALA, omega3, but both are essential.

At the end of the day, the dipshits at work who don't give a shit won't matter - what you have to offer go out and offer it - life is to short to do otherwise. People are mostly dumb asses anyways - do you want to be a part of a group of dumbasses or an Eagle flying your own path.

People used to go to church to meet people.

Work is something we all have to do. Work mates, as a result, generally don't give a fuck.

Take some time for yourself

I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling with work, motivation, and your health. I've definitely been there, and it sucks.

I wonder if you could ask for a leave of absence from your job to recharge, recalibrate, and figure out what you want? This sounds like burnout, and you could be due for a big life change.

I hope you're able to take at least a couple weeks off this summer and spend some time outdoors with your partner. The forest and the ocean are good at revealing new possibilities and life directions.

Sending hugs and best wishes.

Thankfully all of the liberal churches have driven out the literate people, so most of the mainstream denominations other than the Catholic Church are now little more than charnel houses of mentally challenged people and people with a political agenda re: gay marriage. Almost no young straight people!
