I've been dating the same person for a decade. They were my first partner, and I think we are pretty happy, although we have fought and broke up enough times that there have been a few others too along the way. Each time I always broke off the flings when things started being repaired with the long term partner. I'm a bit envious of those who go through relationships so quickly because I'm never confident that my relationship is the one. I have so little to compare to. I think I was happy with the short term partners too. I find myself continually wanting to explore relationships with other people, and yet not wanting to end what I have. I just want to feel satisfied!
