The mighty Drake

A kid at work told me he paid $315 for floor seats for the Drake gig at Rogers arena. Over 300 bucks to watch an auto tuned, bearded guy in a hoodie pretend to rap, sing and dance? And with a platoon of dancers I assume. I don't get it.

And I like seeing live performers. But I'm not so stupid to part with my money like that. I feel like people don't recognize talent anymore. You can be blown away by a free performance, or you can give up 2 weeks of food to see a mediocre "celebrity ". I make a good wage but won't buy any concert ticket above $80. We don't need to keep feeding the rich folks.

There's actually real rappers that are really good, they are the indie, the underground ones, for example you can hear a awesome indie underground stuff on UBC radio CiTR fm on Crimes & Treasons every Tuesday night, CFRO Co-op radio has a show that features indie underground hip hop rap as well.
So there is good unsigned hip hop rap artists with talent that you've never heard of.....I mean fuck all this ringtone hip hop or hip hop you hear in retail chain clothing stores.....& you don't even have to empty your bank accounts to hear it too:)

Rap is for tone-deaf people

Rap — so many words, so little said. What rap did that was impressive was to show there are so many tone-deaf people out there. All they need is a drum beat and somebody yelling over it and they're happy. There’s an enormous market for people who can't tell one note from another.

A "rap concert" is a two hour music video. You see nothing but a boy talking on stage about bitches and hoes. Then you have the dancers which do nothing but their choreographed routine. This goes for Madonna/Beyonce/Little Wayne (I wanted to name more but my knowledge of shitty music stops here). Go to a rock concert and have more fun. At least there's something to watch and enjoy. Your ears will love you for it.

I tried but could never like the Beastie Boys. Their voices were too high and whiny for my tastes
