Raising money for your sick cat

I noticed a coworker had given money to your Youcaring crowdfunding campaign for your cat's vet bills. Your cat is stable, but after having spent thousands on his vet bills you said you weren't able to pay off your student loan this year as planned, so you decided to solicit money from others. You mumbled in your description about being privileged (yet still wanting the money), and my coworker has mentioned you have a good job in a local organization. I hope your cat will be ok, but I also hope you (and people like you) will stop crowdfunding for any little thing that goes wrong when you obviously have the privilege and security to handle stuff like vet bills. I have a friend who would have been out on the street with her two cats if her friends hadn't banded together to pay one month's rent when one of her cats got hit by a car and needed surgery (she took on another job to pay the bills so would have been fine in the end, but she was ACTUALLY in need.) You live in a house, in Vancouver. Hope you can get your act together.

I think it's hilarious that some people can raise money from online appeals.

It's no different than how Charities operate.

You know, "charities". Begging organizations that appeal to our base natures(fear of death is a good one), with it's Executives paying themselves fat consulting fees and expenses, etc.

This person sounds ridiculous. They love in a house (as a renter or owner, still lucky in Vancouver) and have the gall to talk about how privileged they are while they're asking for money?? That's a misuse of that kind of money raising platform and they should be ashamed of themselves. I'm guessing it's because they were disappointed at not paying off their student loan debt on the timeline they chose? The entitlement is baffling.
