Anti-establishment direction.

Why not support the anti-establishment direction? I know that most Georgia Strait readers are against this, as they are very PC, but the rest of the world is catching on. Big business and politicians are saying a lot but they're not doing anything. Democracy is neutered. It looks like people are voting dramatically to burst this bubble. I kind of get it! Nobody can afford a house in Vancouver, let along get a decent job. Is this what we vote for?

People are incredibly subject to propaganda, moreso than in any "dark ages" medieval society where, if there was PR, all classes were more or less uniformly subject.

Big Corporations have concocted a PR offensive where by any people who aren't super rich, who see the nation-state as doing something more than providing a corporate registry and enforcement of jaywalking laws to keep traffic moving, are "uneducated" "nationalists" not "educated" "globalists."

And this would be great, if globalism could deliver the bill of goods it sold to the west, but it hasn't, it is a failure. I do not care how many "non-westerners" we raise up out of poverty if I cannot afford a home, if the kids I graduated from highschool with in Vancouver, even if they aren't Surgeons or Upper Management, cannot afford a home.

The real issue is, I think, not that the average person sees globalism as stupid (tho there are a few professions like law, Uni prof. etc. where the job market is protected---they have no problem with millions of unskilled foreigners coming in, not like they compete with them), they do--it's that they're afraid of peer pressure.

Remember when "anti-drug" (heh heh, the Heads are wiley) education was all about "peer pressure"? Just say no wasn't just say no to drugs, it was to say no to peer pressure, drugs being one of the things your "peers" will pressure you into doing. Of course, Reagan would give us just say no---I mean, he couldn't tell us we're ruled by international corporatists, they would've shot him like JFK...

People are afraid of looking stupid, because the PR narrative is that anyone who doesn't accept globalism is "stupid", even tho only third world nations and the super rich benefit. It's not even about "security", it's not like if we cut off aid to Africa they're storming the north american coast in their impressive navy. It's about stability for africa's oligarchy, that's all. Et sic. for wherever else we're "spreading democracy" aka spreading corporate monopoly capitalism.

People vote because they are indoctrinated to think that they are incompetent to govern themselves. To vote for X is to ask X to govern you. You don't have to ask. You already know.
