Ever hear the expression, "self-fulfilling prophecy"? If you "always know" then you are peparing yourself accordingly and most likely treating people with mistrust and holding your feelings back, or maybe even treating them badly bc you've told yourself they're bad people who will hurt you and you're justified in treating them poorly first.
Unfortunately, when you treat people like they're your enemy when they've done nothing wrong, they tend to get tired of putting in the effort and feeling slighted for attempting to be your friend. Then they sigh, shrug their tired shoulders and give up on you, and you are hurt. If you know they're going to hurt you (ie, convince yourself of that falsely ahead of time), but stick around to hurt them first, and inevitably yourself, then you are playing the victim and a martyr.
People who trust no one and suspect the worst, can themselves never be trusted. You get what you give.

You do not have to be hurt. Stop whoever is hurting you. If I were there I would make sure it did not happen. It takes a village to rescue one person sometimes. I understand how it can wear you down so you can't fight anymore. Get support, tell someone.......please. You deserve the best in life.
Get what you give

What a pile of crap from the message above. Please do not listen to the sick people who believe that abuse is the fault of the victim. Bullshit.............you can be a great person, give love and trust and be abused in return. It happens slowly.
