I saw Dave Grohl drum for Queens of The Stone Age at Richards and it was barely half full.

Not sure when these "Good Old Days" were in Vancouver....we have our issues but things are pretty vibrant...plenty of great shows to see now that the music venues have moved up towards Main and Hastings.

Try researching the awesome history of music and music production in Vancouver during the 80's and 90's which made this place a mecca.
This place is as vibrant as yellow snow and those venues you talk about appeal to lumbersexuals who have ZERO taste in anything.

I was up front for that gig and remember it being jam packed and friends of mine desperately trying to get tickets outside the venue. Killer gig.

I saw Dave Grohl drum for Scream when the DC band played at a long-gone punk rock squat called Luxury Bob's towards the end of the '80s - they were great.
