I'm angry right now

because of Facebook . I'm really offended by a comment made by a relative. Who do they think they are? What a wasted emotion. I'm getting so sick of it. Why am I even on it any more? Fake fake, pictures of babies and food. Everyone pretending to have a great life when we know better. It's everyone's 15 minutes of fame. People say it's the best thing when you get off it. I will try my damnedest.

Been off it since October. It is a great feeling but be prepared... you will be the minority around others, people will stop inviting you to things, people will think you blocked them, it will feel like you are alone. And in some ways you are alone if you think about it. Everyone talks about deleting it but most are so hopelessly dependant on the artificial likes and the feedback for every single tiny insignificant thing you say or do on there that they find it hard to stay off and end up back online... especially when they have something new to share... For attention. Be strong, you'll find real hobbies and things to do with your time. You'll discover how much you dislike this always connected society we live in today.

I've never opened an account with facebook.
Every single one of my colleagues and friends that uses it has said they wished they never joined.
From what I've been shown, it just seems like a platform for passive aggressive sociopaths and pitiful narcissism.

I've thought about ditching it all lately---I keep it mostly because I have one friend who I can't get in touch with any other way, but, ugh, it's disgusting. And unhealthy---building an echo chamber of "Friends" who agree about everything, cognitive inbreeding.

Facebook is the cognitive equivalent of fucking your cousins because they look like you, and that must mean they're smart.

Yeah, don't fret.

You know, sometimes the world is a terrible place, if you do not zone out and concentrate on food, babies, or cute animals, you'll go crazy.

Please don't convince yourself that you are not allowed to zone out of everything that is going on in reality. Those bad comments happen, but you're simply human. You cannot change the world, so do not mentally overwhelm yourself. Work with the system to enact change when you can.. Pick your battles. Choose your friends wisely... Love your relatives, even if they suck, because they are likely to help you out when you hit rock-bottom even if you do not get along perfectly.

...and counting. Was helping my Mother with hers recently and scrolled through for about 2 minutes and couldn't shake the feeling of relief that I wasn't active on FB anymore. Left the account up so no one thinks I blocked them. Funny part? Only one person ever reached out to make sure I was okay. Wasn't expecting more per se but it is telling that the FB people I REALLY know and hang with knew I was fine.

I think Facebook is a great way to find out what lurks beneath the facade of some friends and relatives. Especially by reading thier rude comments. Don't get angry- be happy you got a glimpse into thier true nature and adjust your future plans with them accordingly.

And have only regretted seeing all the pics the rest of the family get. But that's ALL I miss, and the rest of it was drivel. I guess I just don't care to know what everyone's every waking thoughts are all day long. Get a real life people and you won't have time to waste on seeing the latest pics of someone's breakfast!
