My brother's relationship is a mess, and who could say they didn't see it coming? The whole thing was a mistake from the time it started. He's not in my life and mostly I'm pretty a-okay with him living with the consequences of his poor choices. I do know, though, that even if he doesn't want to see it, he's getting thrown a lot of manipulation and emotional abuse, and no one deserves that. But more than anything, I just wish my Mom weren't up all night worrying about him.
