VP of Phlegm

I have worked at this office for 5 months and the boss has been sick the entire time. Every day all day constantly he coughs, gags, horks, and makes the most disgusting and loud throat-clearing noises imaginable. It makes me want to rip my eyeballs out, being trapped at my desk forced to listen to it. I gave my notice and am counting down the days till I can prance out of here!!

You should tell him why you quit.

I find it to totally sickening and struggle to avoid gagging.
I do feel bad for the person with the cough, but just need to escape it. Some coughers are loud too, hard on the ears.
It would be better if those who could, would cough into a hand towel or handkerchief. A muffler.

Here's how you say it: Hey, can I tell you something that is kind of hard to hear but important? You have a chronic cough that is unbearable and you really have a large impact on the people around you with the noises you make. Please go see a doctor.

It is really hard to get a job and Vancouver........and THAT is why you quit your job? Seriously tune it out. It is not hard. You remind me of Seinfeld. I broke up with her cause she smelled like soup. I mean come on. Try and be realistic here. It is a pay check. Deal with it.

I once worked with a guy who had what was likely emphysema. Awful. Horking up his lungs every day. Terrible for him, hard on the rest of us. A good reason to quit tobacco! Slow, slow drowning death, what an awful way to go. I feel for you, your boss and your co-workers.
